The Lao Brewery Company and Daoheuang Group Company handed over 8,000 boxes containing 192,000 bottles of drinking water on Friday via the Lao-Thai Friendship Association for distribution to flood victims in Thailand.
Lao-Thai Friendship Association President Prof. Dr Bosengkham Vongdara presented the drinking water, worth more than 1.3 million baht, to Thai Ambassador to Laos Vitavas Srivihok.
The handover was witnessed by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives from the Lao Brewery Company and Daoheuang Group Company.
Prof. Dr Bosengkham Vongdara, who is also Minister of I nformation, Culture and Tourism, expressed his sympathy over the current flooding in Thailand which has caused tremendous loss of life and property. However, he was confident the Thai government and people would be able to overcome their difficulties and restore the situation to normal.
“It is a small amount that we are donating, but this water flows from the hearts of the Lao people,” he said.
Mr Vitavas thanked the Lao government and people for their solidarity with the people of Thailand in their time of need.

๔. คณะกรรมการกาชาดระหว่างประเทศ (International Committee of the Red Cross – ICRC) จะมอบเงินช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบอุทกภัยจำนวน ๑ ล้านบาท ให้แก่สภากาชาดไทย และได้บริจาคสิ่งของต่างๆ เช่น น้ำดื่ม บะหมี่สำเร็จรูป อาหารกระป๋อง อาหารแห้ง นม ผ้าห่ม เป็นต้น ให้แก่ทัณฑสถานในจังหวัดต่างๆ ได้แก่ อยุธยา ปทุมธานี อุทัยธานี นครสวรรค์ อ่างทอง สิงห์บุรี และชัยนาท
๘. Lions Club of Bayan Baru ในมาเลเซีย ได้รวบรวมเงินบริจาคจากสมาชิกของ Lions Club และชาวมาเลเซียทั่วไป เป็นจำนวนเงินประมาณ ๒๐,๐๐๐ ริงกิต (ประมาณ ๒๐๐,๐๐๐ บาท) และได้จัดหาสิ่งของบรรเทาทุกข์แก่ผู้ประสบอุทกภัย จำนวน ๓ คันรถบรรทุก
