LFNC marks 36th anniversary of National Day

Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) held a meeting to mark the 36th anniversary of National Day at its office, on 6 December.

At the meeting, President of LFNC, Mr. Phandouangchit Vongsa has recalled a great victory of revolutionary movement under the leadership of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and a long history of fighting for national dependence and democracy.

Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) pins medals on senior officials in recognisation their great contribution to national defence and construction on the 36th anniversary of National Day, on 6 December.

Mr. Phandouangchit highlighted under the leadership of Party and Government throughout 36 years, Lao PDR has gained different outstanding achievements of national defence and construction and the GDP grew by at least 8% annually.

Attending the meeting was the former President of Lao Front for National Construction, Mr. Sisavath Keobounphanh, Chairwoman of Lao Women’s Union Ms. Sisay Leudetmounsone, other high-ranking officials and business unities.

“Over the past 36 years, many outstanding sectors have expanded satisfactory including a surplus income compared to the plan, representing at US$60 million that we generated from mining, said Mr Phandouangchit. “Adding that the education has also improved which saw the education institutes have been established nationwide, the existing fine culture of Lao people has also well preserved by locals such as wearing Lao skirt of women.”

The LFNC is responsible for educating and training young people countrywide to become patriots and raising awareness of appreciation among people in order to contribute to the growth of socio-economic development.

To produce Lao people to become honest and civilized persons who work with high spirit and responsibilities, a force of national safeguarding and development works and enhancement of unity among Lao ethnic people is our main objective, he added.
